Growing Independence. Discovering Leadership.
Middle school is a time of incredible transformation. Students are discovering who they are, developing greater independence, and beginning to shape the people they will become.
At Creekside Creative Academy, we intentionally combine academic challenge with authentic experiences that build resilience, leadership, confidence, and responsibility.
Grades 7–9
Academic Excellence with Purpose
Students are taught by Alberta Certificated Teachers, including specialized teachers for core academic subjects. With a maximum of 18 students per class, educators are able to challenge students appropriately while providing the support they need to succeed.

Learning Beyond the Classroom
Outdoor-integrated education becomes even more meaningful during the middle school years.
Students participate in monthly forest days and outdoor experiences including camping, canoeing, skiing and snowboarding, snowshoeing, carving, wilderness skills, water safety, paddle safety, camp setup, fire safety, and first aid certification. These experiences develop practical skills while fostering confidence, teamwork, leadership, and resilience.
Discovering Passions
Middle school students have opportunities to explore their interests through our rotating Options Program, with offerings such as cooking, fitness, wall climbing, visual arts, drama, Spanish, and other electives that evolve based on student interests and instructor expertise.
Students also complete annual Passion Projects, allowing them to pursue meaningful topics through inquiry, creativity, research, and presentation while developing independence and self-direction.
Preparing for What's Next
Students continue building strong academic foundations while preparing for the Grade 9 Provincial Achievement Tests and the increased expectations of high school. More importantly, they leave middle school with the confidence, leadership skills, and independence needed for the next stage of their journey.
Every experience is intentionally designed to help children grow.
